Winter in Yuma 2026

Well, our time has come to an end here in Yuma and 30 days here was plenty to visit the sights we wanted to see.  When we were running from the cold weather in the Fall, I didn't think we would be running from the hot weather in February.  But, here we are.  Our last day in Yuma it hit 96 degrees.

Castle Dome Ghost Town

I am going to start this blog with my favorite picture that I took while in Yuma. This building is at the Castle Dome Ghost town and has military veteran names written all over the walls.  Very surreal to look through all of those names.

One of four rooms in this building with servicemembers names.  Corey found a small space and added mine.  Very cool.

Yuma Territorial State Prison

Glamis Sand Dunes

Beau got some new goggles.

Need some paddles to get up that hill a bit faster.

Tumco Townsite Ghost Town

Over 90 unmarked grave sites in this ghost town.

Beau can always find a good shade on a sunny day.

Ohhh look a mine.  Lets get a closer look.

The dangerous mines are all gated off.

Center of the World

Not sure much science was used in this designation.

Misc Pics

Pilot Knob.  We were camped right next to this for the month.  Apparently this is a volcanic plug, just not as cool looking as Shiprock in New Mexico or the Devils Tower in Wyoming.

Our first night in Yuma.  The moon was crazy large.

Quick trip to Los Algodonos Mexico

We don't have room to buy a bunch of stuff while we are full time RVing, but this won't take up much space.

Paranormal Cirque show in Yuma.  Wasn't disappointed.

Last night in Yuma. Stopped by the Ocean-to-Ocean Highway bridge over the Colorado River.

It's time to get a move on.  Here we come Tucson!  Hoping for a bit cooler weather.
