Tucson and Benson - Last Month in Arizona
The month of March has absolutely flown by this year. We spent our time between Tucson and Benson, Arizona. While the heat was a bit much, we still got out and saw everything we intended to see. Tucson We stayed at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base famcamp, Boneyard Vista. It was nice to be on a military base with all of the amenities; gym, commissary, PX, and a quick trip to the base vet so Beau could stay current on his vaccines. The campground was right next to the aircraft storage facility known as the "boneyard". There are approximately 4000 military aircraft retired here from every branch of service. Loved seeing the road runners in the campground. Mt. Lemmon This was our first sightseeing trip in Tucson. We went from 95 degrees in the valley up to 70 degrees in the mountains.
